Fenavet 1500 Bolus
Fenavet 1500
Bolus
Fenbendazole
Bolus
Composition:
Each bolus
contains:
Fenbendazole
IP................................................................1500 mg
Description:
Fenbendazole is
a benzimidazole-class anthelmintic with broad-spectrum efficacy against
nematodes, cestodes, and trematodes in both adult and larval stages.
Inhibition of
Microtubule Formation: Fenbendazole disrupts tubulin polymerization, impairing
the structural integrity and function of microtubules within the parasite.
Glucose Uptake
Blockade: It interferes with glucose metabolism, leading to depletion of energy
reserves.
Inhibition of
Fumarate Reductase: By disrupting this key enzyme in parasite metabolism,
Fenbendazole reduces ATP production, ultimately causing paralysis and death of
the parasite.
Fenbendazole
exhibits wormicidal, larvicidal, and ovicidal properties, making it an
effective treatment for a wide range of gastrointestinal and systemic helminth
infections in farm animals.
Withdrawal
time: For meat 12 days and for milk 4 days
Purpose and Conditions of Use:
It is indicated
