Description
Dizitrim
suspension is a synergistic antimicrobial formulation combining two potent
agents Sulphadiazine and Trimethoprim. Sulphadiazine, a bacteriostatic
sulfonamide, inhibits the conversion of para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) to
dihydrofolic acid (DFA) by competitively blocking the enzyme dihydropteroate
synthase. Trimethoprim, a bactericidal agent, inhibits the enzyme dihydrofolate
reductase, preventing the conversion of DFA to tetrahydrofolic acid, a critical
cofactor for bacterial DNA and protein synthesis. This dual blockade of the
folate pathway results in enhanced antibacterial efficacy. This suspension is
indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory tract
infections in poultry, including:
•Chronic
Respiratory Disease (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Complex Chronic
Respiratory Disease (CCRD) involving secondary bacterial infections,
Colibacillosis (Escherichia coli), Salmonellosis (Salmonella spp.), Infectious
Coryza (IC) (Avibacterium paragallinarum), Fowl Cholera (FC) (Pasteurella
multocida).
Sulphadiazine
and Trimethoprim Suspension provides a reliable and effective solution for
managing bacterial infections, promoting poultry health and productivity.
Withdrawal
time: For meat 5 days
Purpose and Conditions of Use:
It is indicated to work against
the digestive and respiratory tract infections. Also used for the treatment of
White Bacillary Diarrhea and Omphalitis.
Dosage:
Chickens: 1 ml per 2 liters of
water continuously for 4-7 days.
Or as per the recommendations of
veterinarian.
