Enrofloxacin Solution 20% W/V
Composition:
Each ml contains:
Enrofloxacin
IP..............................................200 mg
Description:
Enrofloxacin is a broad-spectrum
fluoroquinolone antibiotic with potent bactericidal activity against both
Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Its mechanism of action involves the
inhibition of bacterial
DNA-gyrase, an enzyme essential
for DNA supercoiling and replication. By disrupting this critical process,
enrofloxacin effectively prevents bacterial DNA synthesis, leading to rapid
cell death.
Kenoxin solution is clinically
indicated for the treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal tract
infections in poultry, including:
•Colibacillosis (caused by
Escherichia coli),
•Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD)
and Complex Chronic Respiratory
Disease (CCRD) (caused by
Mycoplasma gallisepticum and secondary bacterial infections),
•Salmonellosis (caused by
Salmonella spp.),
•Infectious Coryza (IC) (caused by
Avibacterium paragallinarum),
•Fowl Cholera (FC) (caused by
Pasteurella multocida),
•Other mixed bacterial infections.
Its high bioavailability and
targeted action make enrofloxacin a reliable choice for managing bacterial
pathogens in poultry, ensuring improved health and productivity.
